Times are tough and business are trying to cut back on expenses. We all know one of the first cuts in an economic downturn is to reduce or cut marketing costs. Although this has never made sense to me, by cutting marketing cost  you loose out on new potential clientèle. Not to mention consumers that aren’t constantly reminded of your brand and products might soon look elsewhere. Seems to me by cutting marketing you might be doing more harm then good. I understand the need to cut back and preserve cash. However, there are variety of ways to cut cost and in my opinion any non essential spending should be cut immediately.

Well this post wasn’t necessarily written to complain about marketing cost reductions but more of an informal how to piece for online marketing on the cheap. You see I work in the digital marketing industry and regularly use press releases and article directories to help promote websites and branding.
